STRUCTURAL STEEL SHAPE | Rail Shapes

Steel rail must be able to handle the impact, friction and tension of trains, which means they need sufficient strength, hardness, and toughness as well as good welding properties. Rail shapes are used extensively in a variety of industries and applications, but are most commonly used for railroads, subways and other mass transit systems.

R.W. Conklin Steel supplies rail in lengths of 240 feet, which can be shipped in this length, or cut to your specifiations, (usually in lengths of 39, 40 or 80 feet), or welded together to create long rail strips. Continuously welded rail (CWR) can be strung up to 1620 feet long.
